My book "The View from Poordom"

Donation protected
As most of the donors know, I'm an ordained United Methodist minister and writer, living in Belize among the poor. (Home base is in College Station, Texas.)

I've written a book "The View from Poordom: Reflections on Scriptures Addressing Poverty," that was set to be printed in September. Just before going to print, however, the publishing company went belly up, leaving me in the lurch.

The manuscript has been read by two prominent seminary professors who endorsed it!

Because the book addresses some timely topics, I've decided to "self publish" through WestBow, a high-quality Christian publisher. They can get it into print fast while some of the book's topics are timely and fresh.

This kind of publishing, though, requires I put up $1,600 of cash.  All I can give donors is an acknowledgement on the book's Acknowledgements Page and, of course, my eternal gratitude for helping me salvage this project.
I think it's a good, concise read (103 pages) but also is useful as a study and discussion guide for Bible study or other faith groups.

Many thanks and grace and peace to all who help make this book possible.
