Go Ange!

This past May, 2018 my colleague Angelina was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. After countless tests, appointments and a lumpectomy she will begin her first of the 8 chemotherapy sessions next week. She will be undergoing this treatment over a period of 16 weeks, followed by weeks of radiation and medication.  


Angelina is a daughter, wife,  mother of two beautiful children and an extraordinary  montessori educator! She is a woman of strength and determination. A social entrepreneur who works everyday in creating a school community where children and families work towards lasting peace, justice and equity.


I have known Angelina for the past 4 years working very closely with her in pursuing a passion that we both share very closely - To make montessori education accessible to people from all walks of the world! During our years of working together, I have observed and experienced her kindness, compassion and affection. She is not only always willing to go that extra mile for the children and families at our school but also for the community beyond. To the extent that she has chosen to donate her locks to Cancer patients fighting the same battle as her.


While going through the treatment Angelina has decided to continue to teach and administer at our school so as to provide the utmost consistency to the children  and families we serve.


The money raised through this fundraiser would go towards helping Angelina’s family with: co-pay costs, money spent with traveling for numerous trips to Dana Farber, cleaning services, meal services, bills and more. Your support and love mean the world to her family and is deeply appreciated.
