Finley's Fight

This fundraiser is to support 4-year-old Finley Kuether and his family.

On the evening of December 30th, 2022, our cousins Becky and Devan Kuether heard the words no parent should ever have to hear, Leukemia. Their seemingly normal healthy son Finley was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL Leukemia. Treatments for Finley would need to be started right away which included a sample of bone marrow, a spinal tap, and a port inserted in his chest so Chemo could be started. This was all performed on New Year's Eve and Finley was so brave. The Spinal results came back clean which labels him as “not high risk”. This does not change the path of treatment but does give hope that it is less aggressive than many other types.

Chemo treatments will continue but Becky, Devan, and Finley are hopeful to be home soon to reunite with Finley’s twin sister Emerson. Everything is so new at this point that all of it is hard to process and the timeline and plan for remission are still being put in place. What is known for sure is that the next year will be a hard road for Finley and the Kuether family and treatments will more than likely last 2 (+) years.

Once they can head home, they will need to lay low for at least a month as Finley’s immune system will be at its weakest. This means, limited to no work for Becky or Devan, and no school, sports, dance, or crowds for Finley or Emerson. Finley will need to travel weekly for Chemo and Doctor visits along with all the other needs that may come up in between. As you can imagine, the medical bills are already starting to mount, and it would be great to be able to alleviate some of the stress during this already tough time.

Most everyone knows Becky nor Devan would ever ask for help so that is why we are asking. It would be great if you were able to help this awesome family out.
