Gmitter Family - Fire Relief Fund

As you may know, in the early morning hours of October 9th, many residents of Santa Rosa  were awakened by police and directed to evacuate their homes due to a fast moving wildfire.  One of my dearest friends, Trisha Gmitter, and her husband had just enough time to pack a quick bag for themselves and their two kids, and load the dog in the car, before driving away from everything they've spent years earning and building together.  We found out hours later that their home was one of the many burned to the ground.

She literally walked out the door with the shoes on her feet, and forgot to grab a jacket.

Trisha is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever known.  She works a full-time job as a construction project manager, has her own business selling and promoting skin care, and is a full-time mom in every sense of the word.  I've never understood where she got the energy to be so many things to so many people, but what happenned today is a challenge she cannot take on and tackle by herself.

If your kid lost their backpack, would you replace it?  If they out grew their shoes, would you buy them new ones?  Now start going through that shopping list for every item in your home that you touch in a single day...

They do have insurance, but we all know how slowly that wheel turns.  What they need right now, and why I am asking for help, are the basics.  Shoes. Underwear. Pants. Socks. Jackets. School Supplies, etc.

I googled a few items from Target, and here's the type of things your donation will go towards....
$10, 9-pack of underoos
$20, pair of shoes
$30, jacket
$40, backpack

Your money will help keep them on their feet as they face the next hardest few weeks of their lives, rebuilding from scratch, and waiting for the formal process of recovery to run its course. 

No ammount is too small, but time is of the essence.  Please help if you can.
