We are a group of seniors at Providence College currently studying Business Management. As part of our Organizational Theory class, we have partnered with a local charity in an effort to devote this semester to raising donations and spreading awareness throughout our community… and beyond.

The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation, founded in 2004, provides close to 30 holistic programs designed to heal mind, body, and spirit for anyone who has been affected by breast cancer. Their mission is to celebrate and nurture life in their local community before, during, and after a cancer diagnosis by providing education, access to wellness resources, and support programs to those affected by breast cancer in any capacity.

Sadly, it is hard to find someone that is not in some way impacted by this disease as around 1 in every 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer at some point during their lifetime. October has always been a month of heightened awareness, however, the impacts and struggles of breast cancer affect the lives of millions on a daily basis.

Through this gofundme we are hoping to reach beyond our “Friar Family” here at Providence to enhance our spread of awareness and fundraise for an organization who helps patients and families fight the battle ahead of them daily.
