Help Transport Gabriel to Hospice
Spende geschützt
Gabriel Brock, only 39 years old, has been in the hospital since May 27th and moved to VITAS Hospice in San Antonio Texas only a week later. Monday, June 21st, or Tuesday the 22nd he will be moved from San Antonio to a Hospice facility in Carrollton Texas to be closer to his mom, Lucy Brock, in his final Days.
Covid has been hard for everyone but this story is truly heart breaking. Last Year Gabriel lost his job due to staff cut backs caused by covid 19. He began working part time and ended up catching covid at work. After being sick at home alone for weeks and being told his symptoms where normal and not sever enough to be taken to the hospital he was finally admitted. He developed Gillian Barre Syndrome as a result of the coronavirus. Gillan Barre Syndrome left him paralyzed. Gabe was a trooper tough out 9 months of rehab and was finally able to gain enough strength to walk again but requiring a cane. In May he was readmitted to the hospital and told he is in kidney failure and will not recover as his other organs are also shutting down and he is not a candidate for a transplant. Thought all of this Gabe has been nothing but brave. After a year of dealing with the effects of covid his insurance is running out. I am writing this for Lucy Brock, Gabes mother, who is asking for donations to cover the 300+ mile ambulance service costing over $2,500 this week from San Antonio to Dallas county. Along with any other medical bills to follow. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
