Giving Tuesday 2023

Tuesday, November 28, 2023, is Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

Lutheran Elementary School of Bay Ridge believes in the importance of paper, pen, and textbooks, but in today’s world, the use of technology continues to grow. It is important that we properly expose our students to new advancements in technology.

As many of you know, our little school works hard every year to cover our budget. Tuition alone does not cover all our operating costs, so we are only able to fill that gap with the generosity of our school community. A donation of any size is meaningful and appreciated.

This year’s initiative is expanding our STEM program and building our technology curriculum. Please check with your employer about matching gifts and #GivingTuesday programs.

The money raised will go towards purchasing our first SMARTBOARD. The smartboard will be mounted on the wall in the science lab, and we will begin with incorporating the use of the smartboard in our science curriculums. Overall, our goal through Giving Tuesday is to raise $10,000.
