Freya's best chance-brain injury, epilepsy, IS

Donation protected
Hello my name is Tamer, I am Freyas mum. Freya is 18 months and has had a hard and long journey. Freya has an aquired brain injury, is registered blind, has epilepsy, global developmental delays and mobility problems. Here is her story.
At day 6 after her birth she had hypoglycaemia seizures that caused widespread brain damage especially at the back of her brain in the occipital lobe (eyes). She had a respiratory arrest and had to have rescue medications to stop the seizures. She then had to have a ct scan and mri scan. Which showed fluid on her brain. This was just the satt of her issues the next few months felt like we were waiting for another seizure. When she had her next mri at 7 months old in the may we found out the most devastating news that her brain showed shrinkage. And she had atrophy on her whole brain. At this point. Freya was showing development and proved her name was fitting to the little warrior she is. Then in June she began having infantile spasms this is a type of epilepsy that are extremely dangerous and cause brain damage. She began having medication that turned her into a newborn she didn't do milestones and started losing the skills she had shown before. Then in July she had another grand mal seizure. This meant more medication that came with its own set of problems. She has continually had periods of seizures since. In August following her birth Freya was officially ®️ blind with coritcol vision impairment.
Despite all this Freya is a happy baby who shows strength every day she began weight bearing at 15months old and continues to show how amazing she is. I want to give Freya her best chance. Freya still does not sit or crawl. She can not feed herself and she very rarely plays. Unfortunately the NHS is seriously stretched and can not provide everything needed for her. I came across movement lessons and have been researching to get her to move. There is only 2 specialists in the UK and she would benefit from intensive treatment the first 3 years of a babies life are essential in the development which is why I have started this fundraiser. Within the first few intensive courses the lesson help children sit and do things that they otherwise wouldn't do with normal therapy. They use alternate movements to help a child develop.
Your donations will help towards intensive therapys and equipment to help Freya walk and be able to move reduce her risk of having severe mobility issues in the future and help towards showing her a different way to move without using her eyes.
