Giving back to where I came from

This June 2020 my family and I will be going back to China on a heritage tour to see my native land. This will be the first time I will return to China since I was adopted when I was 13 months old. One of our destinations will be the orphanage where I spent the first year of my life. The Lianjiang Orphanage was my home during that time; the place where they took care of me until I found my forever family. For this reason, I feel it is my chance to give back, in appreciation for all their care.

The funds that are raised through this fundraiser will be used to purchase two air conditioning units and two computers that they need.  In addition to raising funds, I am also gathering small developmental toys that we can take to the kids. Right now there are 99 children in the orphanage, and since China changed their single child policy most of the children who are there are no longer mainly girls, but rather children with disabilities. Therefore, I feel that developmental toys would be great for them to have. If instead of making a monetary donation you'd like to send a small toy, please mail to me at: 3579 E. Foothill Blvd. #776. I truly appreciate any small donation that you can make that will help me to provide the orphanage with the items that they need to help them take  better care of the children. I am truly excited to visit China again, and with your kind contribution, I look forward to visiting the Lianjiang Orphanage and leaving it a little better than it was.
