Hi, my name is Anjeela Shafiq, and I’m creating this campaign with one heartfelt goal: to see my sister, Tanzeela, smile again. This is a campaign to help her regain the life she worked so hard to build.

At just 31 years old, Tanzeela’s world was turned upside down when she suffered an unexpected stroke that left her paralyzed on her left side. This tragedy struck just one year after she achieved a tremendous milestone—graduating from law school, a goal she pursued tirelessly while working full-time at Merrill Lynch. Her dedication, resilience, and determination defined her character, but this life-altering event brought her bright future to an abrupt halt.

Tanzeela now faces a long and challenging road to recovery. She urgently needs extensive physical therapy to regain her independence. She had been saving every penny for a highly rated stroke recovery program at the Fizyomer Terapia Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medical Center overseas. However, just weeks before she was set to leave, her entire savings was stolen in a devastating hacking incident, leaving her with nothing.

Even if you only met the stressed, overworked law-school version of her, there’s so much more to her spirit—sides of her that deserve to shine again.
