Give Osa Comfort: Fund Her Healing Shot
Donation protected
Osa is struggling to walk. The injury occurred as she was simply making her bed, nesting and pawing at the blankets, when suddenly she yelped in pain. When she hopped down from the bed she began limping. In a span on two days she became unable to walk up and down stairs and began shaking uncontrollably from the pain.
After an emergency vet appointment she’s been diagnosed with Elbow Dysplasia and arthritis. She has a broken piece of bone that could be removed however the surgery is $6000. Instead she can get a special shot in her elbow that should hopefully decrease a lot of the pain. This will cost about $500.
I am disabled and have no income aside from food stamps. I’m in the lengthy process of reapplying for basic cash assistance for disability through the state.
Any form of support is appreciated, including well wishes and prayers for healing.
I am doing my very best to cherish the time we have together and ensure she is cared for and loved. She protected and watched over me these past few years as we navigated being unhoused/living outdoors and without her I’d have given up long ago. Her ability to connect with other humans and bring joy and smiles has been a lifeline. I am grateful that we currently have safe, warm, dry housing and soft surfaces for her to rest on.
Osa is 10 years old & a beacon of love and hopefully with a little medicine she will get some relief and healing so she can shine brights and ride out the last chapter of her life with ease and comfort.
