Spende geschützt
****************************

Mila has passed away. Her red blood cells tanked overnight. My neighbor and I were with her, cuddling her and loving her, until the end.
Thank you for your love and prayers. As a part of Mila's legacy and fighting spirit, we will continue doing what we can to help animals such as her have their best chance.
Thank you for your contributions to cover the 7K+ spent on hospital bills, each penny well spent, and to aid our efforts to continue.
*****JULY 4TH UPDATE*****
The latest update from the hospital today was that Mila's red blood cell levels dropped overnight, requiring continued blood transfusions. We are hoping and praying she will be able to maintain her red blood cells independently over the next 24 hours.
Mila has every hope for a full recovery and excellent life; just look at her latest picture!:

The journey is an arduous one. Your love and contributions to her fund mean the world to us. Please continue donating, sharing, and sending love to little Mila for her recovery and chance to wrestle Pink Monkey once more. She can do it!
*****JULY 3RD UPDATE*****
A miracle is happening! The animal hospital sent this message today: Mila is improving!

Her red blood cell count is still too low and requires further transfusions, but the vets were able to manually remove the obstruction causing extreme constipation without requiring surgery!
The total amount of vet bills at this point is $7,841.98. Mila remains in the hospital for continued blood transfusions. Please contribute to keep the miracle going! Thank you!

"A person's a person, no matter how small." -Dr. Seuss, Horton Hears a Who
She was born a sick stray, but after being taken in by my neighbor at three-weeks-old, she improved dramatically. The infection in her eyes cleared up. She loved eating salmon wet food and wrestling her Pink Monkey. (Pink Monkey usually won, but it wasn't a fair fight - he was way bigger than her!). As she grew stronger under my neighbor's loving care, she was given the name Mila, short for "miracle".
With Pink Monkey:
Mila was weeks away from climbing the table for supper with the gang of kitties that rule the household.
But four days ago, something went wrong. Mila rejected the salmon. The litter box stayed empty. Pink Monkey sat untouched.
Medications and syringe feeding every two hours was not enough. Her torn bottom became infected and swollen. She yowled with pain trying to use the litter box. I took over foster care duties, and since then, we have been to the vet five times in the last four days.
Mila is now at the LeadER Hospital. She is currently pending an ultrasound to confirm whether surgery to remove a foreign object will give her a chance at a happy life.
If you asked me a week ago, I'd say it was insane to spend more than $7,000 on such a vulnerable little cat. But Mila changed that. Watching her fight for her life has shown me something I’ll never forget: every life is precious.
On Mila's behalf, thank you for your contribution to a miracle: a rematch with Pink Monkey, and a chance to win.
