Help Michael Nappi Get a Second Chance at Life
My name is Karen Davis, and I’m raising funds for my incredible brother, Michael Nappi. He has lived with cardiomyopathy for over 25 years, fighting every day with quiet strength and unwavering faith. Recently, his condition has worsened, and doctors have placed him on the transplant list — he will need both a heart and a kidney transplant to survive.
To keep him stable while he waits, he’s currently living with a heart pump, a device that keeps his heart functioning until a transplant becomes available. Though we are deeply grateful for this technology, it’s only a bridge to the next step: the surgeries that could give him a new lease on life.
What makes this so hard is that Michael has always been the one giving — never asking. He’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone. Whether it’s helping a friend in need, giving his time to family, or offering encouragement to others even while struggling himself, his heart has always been full of generosity. When he was being evaluated he told the doctor that he wanted to live so he can spend more time with the "love of his life". He was referring to his wife of 5 years, Karianne. Now, it’s that very heart that needs saving.
The financial burden of two transplants is overwhelming. The average cost of a heart transplant is $1,918,700, and a kidney transplant averages $446,800 — not including the expenses of medication, recovery, and travel for care. Mike will need to reside at the Hospital until he receives the gift of a Heart and Kidney donation.
Our family is doing everything we can, but we can’t do this alone. We’re asking for your support to help give Mike the chance to continue spreading the kindness and love he’s always shared so freely with others.
Every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps more than we can express. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us give Mike the second chance he truly deserves. ❤️
