Dear Family and Friends,
Year 2020 has been difficult for a lot of us around the world.
My father’s small business (a videoke bar) has been shut down indefinitely and both my brothers were put on months leave without pay from their respective jobs.
We couldn’t wait for 2020 to be over and was hopeful for a better 2021. And just when we thought things couldn’t get worse, our younger sister Mabelle (31yr old) has been diagnosed with stage 4 Gastric Cancer in September 2020.
At first, she was misdiagnosed with H.Pylori and was put on oral Antibiotcs+Antacid for 2 weeks even though we told the doctors she couldn’t hold anything down for 15mins. Her symptoms got worse and she ends up vomiting everything she ingests even just a sip of water.
Upon consulting with another doctor, he ordered endoscopy and a biopsy. It took almost a week for the result. Then the result came and our nightmare begins...
She was diagnosed with Gastric Adenocarcinoma Stage 4 and it’s inoperable.
Her only source of sustenance right now is peptamen af thru jejunostomy tube.
Mabelle is a generous, loving, and thoughtful daughter and sister. She would rather do things herself, than ask for help or bother anyone.
She loves to cook and make the people around her laugh. That’s the kind of person she is.
She is not perfect, she had struggles in life but she deserves a second chance in life. She still has so much hope, love, cooking and laughter to share…
Let’s give her a fighting chance. Help us help her fight Cancer.
