Give Life to Orphans Living With HIV/AIDS

Today I am campaigning for a wonderful orphanage in Chennai, India that needs your help! Prathyasha, Mellow Circle’s Home of Hope for innocent orphans infected by HIV/AIDS, is located in Chennai, India. They currently take care of 16 children and are expecting a couple more in August who will receive free housing, food, clothing, education, and medical assistance from the home. Without the help of this home, these kids likely would be facing serious health issues as a result of the deadly HIV/AIDS virus all by themselves. The home is able to get ARV medicines from the government for the orphans; however, the expenses of all other necessities are covered by the home.
As a result, their current yearly operating expenses amount to roughly 36 lakhs, or about $52000 USD. They cover about 40% of that through their Music Show in August and their play in November. However, the rest is covered solely by donations. As you can see their main source of money is through donations and this campaign is meant to allow them the peace of mind knowing that they can properly support these kids’ wellbeing. Specifically, all of the funds from this campaign will be allocated to the orphans’ nutrition and education. For nutrition, the money will be spent on healthy, nutritious meals, and for education, money will be spent on quality tutors and teachers to ensure the orphans get a proper education that allows them to succeed in the future. Further, if our goal is reached, the home will be able to operate for a whole month solely on the funds from this campaign. Mohan Daniels, the president of the home, truly is a kind soul and has devoted his career to guiding and supporting these innocent children.
