Give Eagle its Wings Back!
Many of us here in Eagle can relate to the feeling of accomplishment that comes with climbing a mountain. Our future as a community certainly feels like we are staring up an enormous mountain with no guides, no gear and no clear route. We can change that narrative by rallying together to support those who need it most and help everyone scale this mountain.
What makes our community so strong is that we continue to stand together in the toughest of times. Every day brings challenges paired with new perspectives of where our help is most needed. These perspectives have allowed us to grow this fundraiser to keep our focus on our community and those who need it most. Every single person has been impacted by this pandemic, some more than others, it is our time to support those who need it most.
We have joined forces with The Community Market to bring meals to those individuals and families that aren't able to make ends meet while also supporting local restaurants struggling during this time.
The funds raised via "Give Eagle its Wings Back" will fully go towards the purchase of gift cards at local restaurants, which then will be distributed to those in our community who are in need of meals for themselves and their families. The Community Market will distribute the gift cards to those most in need.
This type of full circle giving is truly community-driven, which is what we need most at this time. So quickly we are taught the true meaning of community - it is our choice on how we want ours to be defined.
