Girls Talk! The Conference 2023

Hi, my name is Shamiya Anderson, and I proudly serve as the director of Girls Talk! Founded in 2019, at a local Title 1 High School in Orlando, Girls Talk! is a social-emotional learning program meant to educate, uplift, and empower young women, specifically young black women. For the past five years, we have cultivated this belief on a school campus, but after having our first graduating class in May of 2022, we have decided to broaden our scope of work. Our Girls Talk! Conference 2023 will be our third conference but our FIRST all-wide community event in the city of Orlando. We hope to reach 75 young female-identifying students and spend the day surrounding them with love and enrichment. But to accomplish this, we would love your financial support. Whatever you are able to contribute will truly be appreciated and will go directly to the costs of the venue, food, and gift bags for participating students.
