Gio's World Awareness Project
As parents of our beloved son we are now the voice for Gio's World Foundation. This is just the beginning of our Project.
Last year on August 28 was the begining of any parents worst nightmare. The beginning of Gio's last year in high school was cut short over one bad decision. That one bad decision was to take a pill he believed was a Percocet pill. I believe over the last year of studying Fentanyl Gio passed shortly after taking that pill. On the phone with 911 until the paramedics arrived in my gut wrenching stomach I knew it was too late. I had no idea what could of been the cause of his death at that moment. 17 years old healthy no medical problumes I was at a lost of words.
Within a few hours the police found another pill in his room. They took that pill and did a rapid test and came back with Fentanyl. As a parent thinking I knew my child I had no idea he had any of that in his possession. Now it's to late Nothing can bring Gio back. But what I can do is try my hardest to prevent the next parents worst nightmare.
Gio's World Awareness Project will include billboards that will be placed all over the Las Vegas area. Near our busiest freeways, High Schools, Shopping centers, anywhere I can get them to spread awareness about Fentanyl.
Our goal is to start with 10 Billboards for 6 months and hope to keep them for the next year. In order to make a difference in saving our youth, we rely on the support of generous individuals and our community. Our Project would be most grateful If you would consider any amount of support. Your support is critical to completing our latest project. The cost of the Billboards are $3000.00 a month. With the help of your continues support the louder and longer we can be the voice for Gio's World Foundation.
