Gil and Linda Help Fund

In August, our friend Gil Herren was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. While outwardly his symptoms may appear to be mild (he still has his wicked wit, humor and keen intellect) Gil (who is 57) can no longer work, drive or live on his own. Unable to work in any significant way over this last year, he’s had to file bankruptcy. Gil's lost his car and he and his wife Linda have lost their home in Collierville as well. He and Linda are currently living with her parents in Collierville but Gil will eventually need full time memory care. Although Linda is working as much as possible while taking care of Gil with the help of her folks, the medical bills continue to pile up. 

Gil has been a friend to many of us over the years through school, music, video production, or medicine. While money won't reverse the course of this terrible disease, it will relieve some of the family's stress and financial burden, and let them know that they are supported and loved. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. 

BTW, as you may know, Gil is still occasionally on Facebook. As such, and in respect of his situation, for now we ask that you do not mention this fund raising or his situation on Facebook. That said, he loves hearing and visiting with friends so please feel free to reach out and/or reconnect, just don’t mention his situation or the above.
