Gift the holiday to the children!
While everyone is celebrating the traditional winter holiday - St. Nicholas Day - in all of Ukraine, children in the area of military conflict in the Eastern part of the country can only dream of it.
SFU Ukrainian Student Society, in partnership with the public organization "Veritas" (in Ukraine), had initiated a charity fundraiser for the children of Eastern Ukraine. Together, we hope to bring holiday cheer to these kids!
We plan on buying books, educational and learning toys, warm clothes, and candies. All the presents will be gifted to children in the city of Shchastya (the name of the town is translated as "Happiness") by the SFU Ukrainian Society and the Centre for Psychosocial Adaption.
