Help Me Save Girls in Nigeria
Donation protected
Where I'm from in Nigeria, I see too many girls suffering from female genital mutilation, breast ironing and other unspeakable acts. Over the past 8 years, I have dedicated my life to helping them. I need your help to keep fighting for them.
Hello, my name is Gift and I am a trained nurse living in Suleja. I organise groups of women to help fight those practices which leave young girls in horrific pain, unable to develop naturally and often kill them. Each day I train teams of community volunteers who travel to villages and teach men and women about the dangers and injustices of these practices. This one-to-one approach has been very successful, and we have saved countless girls from these terrible practices.
I have committed my life to saving others because it is truly a full-time job. I have three children and live in a very troubled area in which no one is doing this work. £30,000 will allow me to continue to work on this full-time for the next 10 years. Salaries in Nigeria aren't high, so your donation goes very far. Help me make this long-term commitment to these communities.
If you would like to learn more about what I do, listen to an interview I did with Projects For All founder Katrin MacMillan :
All children, no matter where they are from, are born perfect and have the right to a childhood free from abuse and suffering. I appreciate your support so much, and believe that together we can positively change the lives of so many young girls in Africa.

I'm based in Africa, so my good friends at the UK charity Projects For All help me by receiving funds, assuring that 100% of the donations go directly to fund me and my mission.
