Carey's Medical Fund

This is my cousin Carey and her beautiful family. Carey and Eric have 2 gorgeous little girls and are expecting a beautiful baby boy in March. Carey is an amazing stay at home mom and Eric works for a local company. Carey was told early in her pregnancy that she has a condition called placenta previa. A condition where the placenta covers the cervix. Placenta previa can cause severe bleeding that can potentially lead to premature birth. On Friday December 19th Carey was admitted to the hospital with heavy bleeding. Since then she has also been told that she is leaking amniotic fluid which can also lead to premature birth and infection. On Tuesday December 22 she was also diagnosed with a condition called Placenta Accerta. A condition where the placenta is attached deep into the uterus. This condition can also cause bleeding during pregnancy and severe hemorrhage with delivery. Because of this new diagnosis she is being transferred to the U of M by ambulance where she will remain for the rest of her pregnancy. Not only is being in the hospital difficult but she will now be an hour and a half away from family and friends. She is currently 26 1/2 weeks pregnant. Her and her team of doctors are setting small goals at this time with 28 weeks being her first goal. Ideally the goal would be to keep baby from delivering before 36 weeks, which is 9 ½ weeks from now. As you can imagine being hospitalized for that amount of time comes with large medical bills. We are raising money to help cover the costs of their medical bills at this time. Any amount of money will help this young family. Please help us support Carey and Eric during this difficult time.
