Sophie Padilla-barbosa with medical bills
Spende geschützt
Hello, family and friends this is Sophie my daughter She is a 3-year-old patient at Rady Children's Hospital who was diagnosed as having CNS High-Grade Neuroepithelial tumor. Sophie was initially diagnosed on 7/11/2021, she required a G Tube and catheter care at home for 11 months. Sophie completed her treatment on 6/23/2022.
Unfortunately, tumor came back on 11/8/2022 and was removed on 11/29/2022, and then the tumor came back again on 1/9/2023 and was scheduled to be removed on 1/30/2023. On 1/25/2023, rady children’s hospital admitted sophie to ICU until her surgery on 1/30/2023 because the tumor had already grown 50% in size since they discovered it on 1/9/2023. On 1/29/2023 sophie suffered an embolism and fell into a coma. She had 2 emergency surgeries that day.
The first one to place an EVD to drain the excess fluids in her brain and the 2nd surgery to remove the tumor, where they actually had to remove a small piece of her brain.
sophie woke up 2 days later and doctors noticed she wouldn't follow light or movement so they did another MRI and found a little piece of tumor still in her brain and she went into surgery again on 2/1/2023.
In less than a week Vicotria had 3 major brain surgeries
we traveled for a month to ucsf for a trial but it didn't work on sophie, we returned to san diego where she will continue with therapy and radiation every day and right now she is admitted to the hospital every day 24/7, in another month she will have another operation to remove the tumor again and later another chemotherapy.
Today I ask for your help to be able to continue with my daughter in all this strong path, and to be with her all the time taking care of her and making her happy trying to do all this as less traumatic and ugly for her.
I really appreciate any help to be with her while she is in the hospital and all her treatment since it I stop working every day,
I appreciate your help to be able to focus only on my daughter
