Our beautiful island is severely damaged and is in far worse shape than West Florida and Eastern Texas. The infrastructure, already fragile, has been virtually swept away. It will be months until most people can even turn on a light or a fan to cool themselves. Just imagine living in a tropical climate with no air conditioning or refrigeration. 90% of the cell towers on the island are gone, communication is almost nonexistent. What fuel there is is being severely rationed. Puerto Rico is in a near apocalyptic state, and the situation is desperate.

Unlike the continental United States, where neighboring states can truck in supplies and personnel in a disaster, everything to and from puerto rico only goes by air or sea. Airline are also taking advantage of the situation, tickets off the island which normally cost $198, are $900 after hurricane maria!

We are hoping to get family and friends off the island, generators and supplies in, and cash to help in rebuilding. anything you can contribute, from a prayer to a dollar, hopefully more, will be received with heart felt thanks and gratitude.
