Get Somakwilili a Solar Borehole!

Donation protected
The story of the children of Somakwilili Primary School in the Nkayi district of Matabeleland recently captured the hearts of many social media users from Zimbabwe.

2 orphaned students from the school were given the opportunity to attend an Expo in Pretoria by the Mopane Foundation International (registered charity in the UK & Wales - charity registration number: 1167272) who sponsor the 2 kids. An outpouring of love was shown, and about R4000 was raised within hours in order to give the kids an experience never-to-be-forgotten while they were in SA.

Hearing their story was inspiring, and upon finding out that their little school has 310 children, with only 5 teachers and 2 classrooms - with no running water - we decided to act and attempt to make a difference for the other children at this school - for the longer term...

Our ambitious target is to raise about $10,000 to install a borehole and solar pump with tanks, at the school. This will allow the children to have clean water on their doorstep. It will also allow the school to begin a crop growing programme which will hopefully mean the kids get a nutritious meal daily... Many kids only eat a proper meal ONCE a week, and are prone to illness due to the lack of clean water.

If we can get 1000 people to donate merely $10 each, we will easily reach our target.  If you are able to donate more then we can smash the target even quicker! Every little helps!

The goal has been set at £8,000 in order to cover GoFundMe and payment processing fees. Every single £/$ you pledge to this campaign will go towards this project. Please give generously, and know that you are making the lives of hundreds of children in rural Zimbabwe infinitely better in the process.

Thanks for your care; please let me know if you have any questions and we will answer them as soon as possible!
