Our dear friend Michael - whom many may know as a fixture at Willy Nicks and now the Whitlock - recently suffered from an unfortunate accident on a four wheeler while in upstate NY.
He spent several days in the ICU, as well as requiring reconstructive surgery on 3 of the vertabrae in his back. Thankfully because of the surgery and the great medical care he received I personally saw Michael walking on his own two feet the other day, but his medical bills will be substantial, in excess of $200,000.
Michael - like 28 million other Americans - did not have health insurance, and this amount of debt is sure to severely impact his life for the foreseeable future.
