Please help get Pete cycling again!

A week ago one of my customers at the Electric Cycle Company in Edinburgh had their two electric bikes stolen from their garage in South Queensferry.

 

Nothing new there I expect you're thinking, eBikes get stolen all the time, why do you need my help?

 

Well, what makes this story really devastating for the family is that the bikes were used to take their son Pete out cycling.

 

Pete has a particularly severe form of Cerebal Palsy which left him nonverbal and unable to move around unassisted and his family are his full-time carers. One of Pete's favourite things to do was to go out with his parents cycling in the specially adapted tagalong trike that they had made for him and that they tow behind their electric bikes with Pete assisting with pedaling from the trike. Pete is 26 years old and as a fully grown adult towing him around the hillier areas near their home in South Queensferry would be impossible on a regular bike.

 

We would like to get the Finlaysons back on the road equipped with two replacement ebikes. My company is looking to get two new bikes for the family at trade prices but we need your help to help purchase these. We will source, service and deliver the 2 bikes free of charge.

Any money we raise over the target we will donate to the Thistle Charity to help run their accessible Cycling session in Edinburgh.
