James needs a new truck before winter hits!
Challenge! Get James a new truck and Crampton's Market will donate the weight of that truck in food to the Bearclan Patrol next summer.
Hi! I'm Erin and my husband Marc and I own a little store called Crampton's Market. All summer long we donate food to the Bearclan Patrol Winnipeg. James Favel who heads up the Bearclan Patrol comes with his old, rusty, beaten down truck to our store to pick up food donations to distribute to people and organizations in North end Winnipeg.
With the last donation that James picked up, we really recognized that this truck is on its last legs. We heard a snap as we loaded it up, and the truck sagged dangerously as James drove off to feed his neighbourhood.
Proceeds from this Go Fund Me Campaign will go to purchase a truck or van for James Favel of Bearclan. James uses the truck to pick up donations of food and other items that are desperately needed in his North end Winnipeg community. Excess funds will be used to bankroll vehicle insurance, gas and vehicle maintanace costs.
James personally knows everyone in his community. The food that we (and other stores) donate gets used to feed the Bearclan community patrol when they are out patroling their neighbourhood. The patrol and James also hand it out to community members they meet while on patrol who are short on food or live on the street. James also brings food to agencies, organizations and families in the neighbourhood when he knows they are short.
James spends a majority of his time volunteering his time to help his community, and all of Manitoba. He and the Bearclan show up for anyone in need. They patrol their neighbourhood to build relationhips and make sure that everyone is safe, they teach other communities how to start up a Bearclan patrol in their neighbourhoods, they search for missing people from all walks of life, and work very hard to make Manitoba a more safe, kind, inclusive and caring Province.
We love working with James. We love that when he sees a need, he tries to help. No matter where people may live, come from, what language they speak, what they wear or what colour their skin is. He’s out to build relationships and bring the community together to help each other.
James has no time for racism, negative talk or excuses. Get out there and help your neighbour. James and the Bearclan show up. They show up for all people. And that’s why we love working with them. Let's help them get a vehicle that works.
