Fund Public Access Defibrillators
Donation protected
Hi everyone
Thanks for taking the time to read our GoFundMe page.
Following the death of our brother Mark from a heart attack we are raising funds to place public access defibrillators in parks and playing fields across Belfast.
Research has shown that for every minute defibrillation is delayed the victim's chance of survival decreases by 10%. It is for this reason that we want defibrillators accessible to all the users of parks and playing fields.
As part of our fund raising a group of cyclists from Phoenix Cycling Club and VC Iveagh will be taking part in an "Everesting" attempt at Stormont Estate, Belfast. All members of the group will repeatedly climb Stormont Hill in one ride, until they reach the equivalent height of Everest - 8848m. This will take circa 18-20 hours, with a total cycling distance of approximately 194 miles.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
