Gerrard Gosens blind chocolatier

Blind athlete, business owner and Chocolatier, Gerrard Gosens has been forced to close his shop, Chocolate Moments in Albert street, Brisbane due to construction of the Cross River Rail Project. Gerrard and his wife, could lose both the business and their home unless he can relocate, but he needs funds to be able to relocate the shop. Gerrard has been an inspiration to many  people through his pursuits in sport,  and has spent his life fundraising and raising awareness for people with a disability.  Although a thriving boutique chocolate business for the past 10 years,  he will close the shop this week-end.

Gerrard also has a fulltime job with MAX Employment, working with employers, schools, and other organisations to assist people with a disability gain meaningful employment in their local community.

He is aiming to represent Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Gerrard is lucky enough to have the support of Volkswagen, who have loaned him a Multivan up until June next year, so he can transport his tandem bike to training, and to local, State and National Para-triathlons.
