Gerhard Kistner’s funeral expenses

Hello friends,

As many of you know, my dad, Gerhard Kistner, died suddenly from COVID-19 on April 4th after contracting it while in the hospital for other reasons. It was a terrible shock to my mom and me (I’m an only child) and while mourning the tragedy of his loss we were hit with a nearly $5.000.  bill for his funeral expenses. Unfortunately, my father did not have life insurance and my mom had nothing put aside for this possibility. She has not been in good health for a while, but that is another matter. We have also explored public assistance but do not qualify.

My work as a performing musician came to a sudden halt in mid March and, unfortunately, I’m not in a financial position to pay for these additional expenses. I would also like to honor my father with a Memorial service once it is safer to gather in a group and actually hug one another.

I know this is a tough time for everyone and I’ve been hesitant to start a fundraising campaign because of that, but I honestly need your help.  Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated.
