Georgia goes to Africa!
Donation protected
Hi there, I\'m Georgia and I will be going to St Lucia in South Africa this summer to volunteer for two weeks! I will be doing various things to help the local community like building toilet blocks and simple houses, teaching the children english and supporting the teachers, and aiding the conservation of local wildlife such as cheetahs and crocodiles!
I am really excited about this project, not just for the amazing experience but also as it is my chance to do something good in the world. I am going with the organisation Volunteer Eco Students Abroad. This company supports charities such as World Vision through a sponsorship program; for every volunteer that goes, their money will go towards sponsoring atleast 7 children. They are also trying to combat climate change by their carbon offsetting program to help reduce our carbon footprints.
£2000 is not that much really. If 1000 people donate £2.15 then it\'s done, and everyone can give up £2.15 right? If 20000 people donated 2p that would also be good enough! I know there are a lot of charities about but I feel strongly that this is a cause worth giving to! If you would like anymore information on the organisation to help you make up your mind or to arrange a trip for yourself feel free to visit www.vesabroad.co.uk :)
