Georgia Elizabeth Meyer Memorial Services

As you may know, Captain David C. Meyer (Ret.) of the NYPD unexpectedly passed away November 11, 2017. After battling with severe clinical depression following her father's passing, his daughter, Georgia E. Meyer, ended her life unexpectedly on December 14, 2022 at the age of 16. Nine days after Georgia's passing, my Grandmother also passed away unexpectedly.

My mom is a CPA and we know she doesn't get paid unless she is working. She is suffering significantly from the grief of losing her daughter and her mother at the same time. She hasn't been able to work, and is undergoing grief counseling while raising two small children. Over the years, she has met many members of the NYPD who have been so generous and offered to lend a hand when needed. Up until this point, we have been ok. But my mother would never and will never ask for help so we as her older children are setting up this go fund me. We don't know how much a funeral is or what she is doing for her mother or Georgia. She doesn't want to discuss it right now. So we are just guessing on what she needs.

If you could share on other NYPD sites, I would appreciate it. To join they are asking for his tax number and I can't ask my mother for it but we are trying to find it ourselves.
