My name is George Bensley, and on the 8th of October, I will look to tackle an obstacle course race known as The Spartan Ultra.
- The Spartan Ultra merges the sport of obstacle course racing along with a 50k (31 Miles) course and 60 obstacles to create a truly unique and brutal challenge.
I have never ran more than a half marathon, so I’m diving in straight at the deep end and potentially biting off more than I can chew. However, this is a challenge I'm very motivated to overcome, and I am doing it for a brilliant cause.
I'm running to support a charity very close to my heart and somewhere I have the privilege of working. A lovely organisation called Dose of Nature.
- Dose of Nature was established to promote the mental health benefits of engaging with the natural world.
- Dose of Nature works with people with mental health problems, encouraging everyone to connect with nature to improve their mental well-being through Nature Prescriptions, Group Therapy and Workshops.
- The organisation aims to inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental well-being. This is achieved through a combination of education, first-hand experience and practical and motivational support.
A donation of any size would be greatly appreciated.
