George Cooper became infected with the COVID virus, which led to his admission to the Western Missouri Medical Center on February 7, 2022. After spending 22 days in the hospital, George was able to return home with oxygen on March 3. On April 1, oxygen levels plummeted, which led to his being readmitted to the hospital on April 2 with pneumonia. George was immediately admitted into the ICU. They monitored his breathing for 6 days, at which point it became apparent that he needed to be sedated and intubated. His oxygen levels slowly improved and after 6 more days they removed the ventilator and he was able to breath on his own with oxygen. As a result of being immobile for such a long period of time he developed a blood clot which led to him being transferred to Lee's Summit Medical Center for specialized care. At this time George is still in Lee's Summit Medical Center and will remain until he can regain enough strength and oxygen endurance to be released to a rehabilitation center.
This situation has put a financial strain on the family as George is without medical insurance and is unable to run his lawn care business as in the past. Family is stepping up and doing the best they can. The bills are becoming more than they can bear alone.
The family also could use your prayers during this trying and busy time. We ask for specific prayer that he will be able to attend the high school graduation of his youngest daughters on May 13.
We really appreciate any donation that could be possible from you which will directly help the Cooper family.
Thank you,
