General Surgery Global Health Trip
Donation protected
Hello Friends! I have never done this before but here goes nothing!
My name is Samantha Kinnard and as many of you know, I am a second-year Physician Assistant student at Rush University in Chicago. I have been selected for an opportunity to go on a surgical global health trip to the Dominican Republic from June 3-10. It has always been a goal of mine to partake in trips such as this to give back to communities most in need while seeing other cultures. In order to make this possible, I am fundraising to help cover the cost of my flight, transportation, and logistic fees such as food and lodging. The surgical team for these trips consists of local physicians and surgeons as well as volunteers (like myself) who provide general surgery services to low-resource areas. Roughly 90 general surgery procedures are performed per year through these global health trips and I am beyond honored to participate in providing this service.
If you have any questions about the trip please feel free to reach out and I would be happy to discuss it more as I get more details. I have zero expectations for anyone and am so grateful for any support whether that's a monetary contribution, sharing this link, or continuing to cheer me on through the remainder of this educational journey. You are all so appreciated by me always!
