Gene Holter Medical Expenses
Spende geschützt
On the morning of July 8, 2016, Gene Holter's life was changed forever. On his way to Haggerty's Musicworks to give a private music lesson, Gene was involved in a scooter & motor vehicle accident and sustained a critical head injury. Once he was stabilized at the hospital here, he was flown to the Madonna Rehabilitation Specialty Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he remained for three months. Gene was finally able to return home on October 5, but continues to require 24 hour care which is being lovingly given by his wife, Pam.
Gene has always been a “music man.” He was band director in several South Dakota towns before moving to Rapid City to go to work for Haggerty's Musicworks, where he remained for 30 years. Although retired from full time work, Gene continued to give private lessons at Haggerty's. Gene played all band instruments but was usually seen playing percussion or French horn. He belongs to the New Horizons Band and has filled in with the Rapid City Municipal Band, the Black Hills Symphony and other musical groups when his skills were needed.
Expenses continue to mount for Gene and Pam and that is why two ways are being made available to provide some financial assistance for them, should you wish to do so. You can donate to this GoFundMe account, or through an account that has been opened for them at the Highmark Credit Union (Marion Holter Donation Account).
Pam and Gene are so grateful for the family and friends who have continued to give their love and support. If you aren't in a position to help financially, your prayers and visits are greatly appreciated.
