Geise Hurricane Relief

Donation protected
I (Bridget) am a fellow teacher and friend of Kelli and Derick Geise. These two would rather help others than ask for help. Below is Kelli's story of their hurricane Harvey rescue. They lost everything! Derick is a teacher & coach at Clear Creek HS in League City, Texas where we work. This is Kelli's first year out of the classroom. She has taught ~10 years & recently took a job outside education.  In past years Kelli had fundraisers for the students for various causes and was always a smile for our staff. I'd love to pay them back for thier spirit and kindness.

The Geises live in Friendswood, Texas and were rescued from their home. I believe the pictures tell the story along with the info below. Our area was destroyed! I was so lucky and blessed, but many of my co-workers lost everything. This gofundme will specifically help them with cost for their deductible of car, as they lost both vehicles and thier home and all contents and had no insurance on home.  My heart breaks for them and all my friends who have lost everything. Below is from Kelly's Facebook post:
Derick Geise and I spent six hours in our home taking on water today. We spent time on the bed until we moved to the top of the camper in the garage. I'm sure everything is a total loss, but I have my husband and my babies. When I left the house, water was above my knees inside the house. Pray the waters recede and that others are rescued. Pray my family stays safe. I want to thank Spring Aguirre my neighbor for keeping in touch, The sweet man who rescued us (Zachary, maybe? He's an operator at Exxon) The Russell's for rescuing us from the elementary school, my family for keeping me sane and our friends for constantly checking and praying. This is will be a long hard road, but tough times don't last. This has been the worst day of our life, but it was not the last day of our life and for that we will forever be grateful.
We're not out of the woods yet. -Some questions we've got-
-Do you have flood insurance? No, we were told that the house didn't need it because it wasn't in the 100 year flood plane. This was a 500 year storm.
-No, we will not be going to work this week
-Yes, we would love your help rebuilding! And we're so thankful!
-We don't need anything specific right now, just your prayers and love. We're hoping to be able to see the house once the waters recede.
