Gabriel Ratcliffe Cancer Expense Fund
Beschermde donatie
Nearly three weeks ago, in mid April, 2021, Gabriel (Gabe) Ratcliffe was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer. It is always a shock when someone is diagnosed with cancer, but it's especially troublesome when your child is diagnosed with cancer.
Gabe was diagnosed three weeks prior to his 13th birthday. He had surgery on May 4th, three days prior to his 13th birthday, he will be celebrating this milestone event at University of Maryland Medical Center.
The surgery removed his thyroid and pulled nodules from the lymph nodes, where the doctors believe the cancer had spread. After surgery Gabe will need to undergo several months of radiation treatments and continuous medication, monitoring and testing.
We are organizing this fundraiser because the anticipated medical bills will be an unwieldy burden on the family. Anything generated will help to relieve the financial stress and burden on Gabe and the family as they navigate down this horrific road.
Those of you who know the Ratcliffe's, they are a very proud and private family. asking for help is not something that comes easy for them. They have been through quite a bit over the past several years and your prayers, encouragement, meals, financial help or any other support will be unbelievably appreciated.
Gabriel is the oldest son of my sister and brother in law, Kristy and Scott Ratcliffe. He is a happy young man who does well in school and loves to be outside playing with his dog. He is a strong young man and will undoubtedly get through this with faith and love from a strong family base and the support from all around him.
Thank you for your love and support and may God bless Gabe and the doctors performing his surgery and his recovery.
