The Gift of an Education

"What would you like for Christmas?" As a little boy, I waited all year to be asked this quesiton. My list for Santa had been prepared with cutouts from ToysRUs magazines, Walmart, and Target. As for a list this year? I don't have one, but I do have a wish. A dream. A hope. A "unrealistc goal to meet before the end of the deadlines." Or so I interpret when I'm told to look at a more "realistic" perspective. What's my wish? An Education. 

Last year (2016), in the beginning of my first semester of college, my parents and I lost our home. We moved into a house of seven individuals, and where a grandson and his grandfather sleep in the living room. Financially, I could not afford to return to class. However, as difficult as the time was, I did not allow any setbacks to hinder my educational growth. I kept my head in the books, and sought out any opportunity to grow spiritually and mentally. 

 As a Nineteen year old, in a season of constant searching, returning to class would allow me to expand further into God and myself. I want to reach new heights I was too afraid to climb before and go where I am called to make a difference. By January 12th, 2018, I must have my current balances and classes paid off. The goal I have set is to pay my overdued fees, which would help the first half of returning to college. Any amount of donations is far greater than what you may believe. Now, can we make the unrealistic realistic? Thank you for your time, and have a blessed day!
