Michelle & Her Family

This GoFundMe page is set up to help Michelle’s family with their out of town travel and accommodation expenses so they can spend more time with her in Camrose.

Michelle has been fighting a degenerative brain disease for the past couple of years where the cerebellum of her brain is shrinking. There will be a new MRI on March 7, 2023. So far, each MRI has shown a smaller cerebellum resulting in more loss of body function. There is no known cause of it and doctors don't know how to stop it, unfortunately, the damage is irreversible. She has a lot of difficulties swallowing, and can no longer walk or feed herself.

Michelle and Donald have a beautiful three year old daughter who visit her regularly as they are local to the Camrose area. However, her brother Joe, with his two children live in Peace River, her parents Marcel and Viviane live near High Prairie, and her sister, Lucille and niece Nala live in Red Deer, making long drives back and forth to visit. Her sister, Lucille, is a social worker who is great with people who need more help and is just amazing with Michelle while helping take care of her. She spends all day with Michelle and gives her good company as there is not much for her to do during her day. The more Lucille and her family can stay in Camrose and be with Michelle the better.

If you know Michelle, you know she is a fighter, ankle biter, kind, loving, and selfless. She always looks out for others over herself and would never ask for this kind of help. Having her family being able to spend more time with her during these times is what anyone would want. Being surrounded by loved ones is what is needed.
