My name is Steve Musick.  I have known Jane Pomerantz since 1979. She is putting this on her facebook site to share my story.  
I was diagnosed 23 months ago withStage IV head, neck, and throat cancer. 1 cycle of chemo and radiation Feb-Mar '13 eradicated squamos cell tumors in head ,throat,tongue,neck  and shoulders.
 PT scan in July showed new cancer in Optic Nerve. Began 2nd rad and chemo at tumor against my optic nerve till Oct. In 5 mos i lost 100+ lbs,
yet regained my trust through good and bad, from bless- ings as well as shortcomings during treatment, to appre-
ciate  just being alive and fighting back for my strength and the joys in living thru it all.  That 2nd tumor was killed, but in Jan '14, hot spots  showed in my cheek and chest cavity. My PCIP  insurance coverage ended then  for extra  medical therapies to help stop the spreading. We are waiting for a PT scan to evaluate now. I was  an organic farmers more than 20 yrs and shared with food bank, shelters, missions,as well as farmers mkts and restaurants in Santa Barbara.
