Cure for Justin

Spende geschützt
Justin Farmer grew up and currently lives in Pearisburg, VA.  He graduated from Giles High School and SWVA Governor's School in 2010.  Justin was a member of the football and track teams during his four years there.  In 2014, he graduated from Emory and Henry with a double major in business and geography. He played football for the E & H Wasps as well.

Soon after graduation, Justin and his long-term girlfriend, Kaitlynn McCroskey, began planning their dream wedding.  In August 2014, right after choosing the wedding venue, Justin was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  After Justin received four doses of chemotherapy, the lymphoma was deemed to be in remission.

Unfortunately, a few weeks before his wedding in July of 2015, Justin received news that the aggressive cancer had returned.  Weeks after marrying his bride, Justin once again began chemotherapy treatments.  This latest series of treatments requires a lengthy hospital stay.  After receiving three rounds of more intensive therapy, Justin is scheduled to receive a stem cell transplant at UVA.  Doctors are hopeful this will cure the cancer.

The second round of cancer has not allowed Justin to work and he is expected to be out of work for at least six months.  Justin's wife, Kaitlynn Farmer, is a teacher at Dublin Middle School.  Due to new hiring guidelines, Kaitlynn is not eligible to be a member of the Pulaski County's sick leave bank.  Thus, she will be using all of her accumulated sick leave days to care for Justin and to be with him during the lengthy stem cell transplant process.  Kaitlynn will have many unpaid leave days.

A substantial financial burden is just one more struggle this young couple must face.  Expenses include medical bills, renting an apartment in Charlottesville to be closer to UVA, gas, food, bills, etc.  However, we believe that with the help of family, friends, co-workers, and the community we can pull together and give this couple the support they need.  Please consider aiding this couple during a very difficult time.  Each of us can make a difference and will be blessed by helping them!

WHERE THERE IS HOPE, THERE IS FAITH, WHERE THERE IS FAITH, MIRACLES HAPPEN

FOR NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD
