LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

God's Vision International School is an orphanage and school in the small village of Bentum, Ghana.

There are currently 18 orphaned children here that are truly some of the most amazing human beings I have ever met! They are such incredible children that were unfortunately born into dealing with some of the worlds biggest problems. Many of the children are suffering from malnutrition or something even more extreme called Kwashiorkor. Along with not having proper shoes or clothing which has lead to so many sores and wounds that are left untreated.

Along with the help of other volunteers we are begining to get a small farm put together in the village so that the children will have a reliable supply of food and nutrition, even after our departure. However, in order for it to be established it will take MONTHS and the children really don’t have the luxury of time, as they need proper nutrition now. That’s where your help comes in. Just to give you a little insight of how much you can help, $1 U.S dollar equals 3.50 Ghana Cedis. Being here for almost 2 weeks I’ve gotten a glimpse of how we can help, since the food is inexpensive compared to our dollar. For example:

• 15 Eggs = 5 Ghana Cedis = $1.42 US dollars

• 45-50 tomatoes = 8 Ghana Cedis = $2.28 US dollars

• 16oz of Peanut Butter = 5 Ghana Cedis = $1.42 US dollars

• 5 Lettuce Heads = 2.50 Ghana Cedis = $0.71 cents

• Big container of beans = 10 Ghana Cedis = $2.85 US dollars

• 5 Cucumbers = 5 Ghana Cedis = $1.42 US dollars

• And much more…

It will cost $113 to feed 18 children for one month just with the items above. If we can raise at the very least $500 US dollars it will provide food for these children for a few months and hopefully by then, the orphanage will be self-reliable.
