Little John’s House
Donation protected
“Little John’s House is a caring home and future for our family of young adults with additional needs. Established in 1993, Little John’s provides support for disadvantaged children and young people in Romania. Through our summer school and day centre, we provide opportunities for fun, play and friendship. The mission of this amazing program is to run a day centre providing care, support and opportunities for the local youth community with additional needs in and around Sibiu and Cisnadioara in Romania.
At any one time there are many projects ongoing at Little John’s House: some maintenance (eg repairing the barn roof), some for individual children (eg medical care) and some which simply aim to enrich the lives of the 6 children or the wider community of children (eg providing a minibus) – all of them require money so any and all donations are highly appreciated no matter the size.”
A group of us managed to get the chance to volunteer at this amazing home and saw some of the struggles they face on a daily basis. We saw that even the most simple of toys that we may think are normal for children can bring so much joy to these young people and this year we want to bring more than just activities. We want to bring opportunities. All the money raised will go straight to the home for them to undergo repairs and upgrades while allowing them to also make the lives of these children and adults as best as they could possibly be.
