Lawyer fees

A friend of mine found an excellent lawyer to handle his case in fighting for his rights and custody for his son. He has already raised a good portion to retain the lawyer but still lacking. To all those who know me, you know I wouldn't assist if I didn't feel confident in a person's intention. I don't want to put anyone's business out there but I have been witness to several things and stand behind my friend. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A son needs his father!
