HELP US SURVIVE BREAST CANCER

Hello, my name is Samuel Guzman and I have currently resided in Pennsylvania for a year and a half with my wife Grisel Garcia, 21 years of marriage, and my 19-year-old son Christopher, but we are originally from Puerto Rico. We moved so we could be close to our 4-year-old granddaughter, Xiann, and our daughter, Jolian, who have lived here for about 2 years. We are a working family, I work at Mack Trucks in production and Door Dash on occasion, my wife at LA Fitness and my college student son part-time to help out with costs.

In December 2022 my wife went to have a routine breast exam to find out the difficult news that she appeared to have Breast Cancer, it was the worst day of our lives. She immediately began with the different tests, in January the biopsy confirmed her condition and a Pet Scan that there was metastasis to the liver converting it to Stage 4. The Oncologist found that it was a rare case since she has Triple Negative in the breast and HERS2 in the liver causing them to change their treatment 3 times before they could start it.

In February, the conventional treatment of chemotherapy and immune-therapy began and after six months of intense and painful treatment, her oncologist realized that the treatment was not working and she processed an emergency mastectomy to remove the tumors and stop the uncontrolled growth. Halfway through the treatment and due to the effects of the chemo, my wife had to stop working because the tiredness and pain were too intense.

On July 14, they performed surgery, removing the breast and 16 nodules, of which 14 were positive. As of today, She is recovering to return to immune-therapy treatment and the recommendation of radiation. During these days of recovery, we have been looking for new appointments for other opinions of her case and alternative medicine since the conventional one did NOT RESULT but as we already know it is very expensive and we do not have the resources to try it since they are passing $100,000 without counting the personal expenses and hidden medical costs that may appear, this is why in a desperate act of LOVE I am seeking the help of everyone I can.

I just want her to continue LIVING since she is the light of my days, the pillar that sustains this family, a super mom and grandmother, a hard worker and an entrepreneur who has always found a way to bring out the potential of everyone she touches and that we can return to a bit of happiness by exercising, that she can once again enjoy the simplest things that made her HAPPY, follow the plans to buy her house and can harvest the plants that she loves so much.

Hola, mi nombre es Samuel Guzman y resido actualmente en Pennsylvania hace un año y medio junto a mi esposa Grisel Garcia, hace 21 años y mi hijo Christopher de 19 años, pero originalmente somos de Puerto Rico. Nos mudamos para poder estar cerca de nuestra nieta de 4 años, Xiann, y nuestra hija, Jolian, quienes viven aquí hace alrededor de 2 años. Somos una familia trabajadora, yo trabajo en Mack Trucks en producción y Door Dash en ocasiones, mi esposa en LA Fitness y mi hijo estudiante universitario con un part time para ayudarse con los costos.

En Diciembre 2022 mi esposa fue a realizarse una Mamografía rutinaria para encontrarnos con la difícil noticia que aparentaba tener Cancer de Seno, fue el peor dia de nuestras vidas. Inmediatamente comenzó la jornada con los diferentes exámenes, en Enero la biopsia confirmo su estado y un Pet Scan que había metastasis al hígado convirtiéndolo en Etapa 4. La Oncóloga encontró que se trataba de un caso raro ya que tiene Triple Negativo en el seno y HERS2 en el hígado causando que cambiaran su tratamiento 3 veces antes de poder comenzarlo.

En Febrero comenzó el tratamiento convencional de quimioterapia e inmune-terapia, luego de seis meses de intenso y doloroso tratamiento la oncóloga se percata que el tratamiento no esta resultando y tramito una mastectomia de emergencia para remover los tumores y para el crecimiento descontrolado. A mitad del tratamiento y por los efectos de la chemo mi esposa tuvo que dejar de trabajar pues el agotamiento era demasiado intenso.

En Julio 14 realizaron la cirugía extirpando el ceno y 16 nodulos de los cuales 14 salieron positivo. Al dia de hoy ella se encuentra recuperándose para regresar a tratamiento de inmune-terapia y la recomendación de radiación. Durante estos días de recuperación hemos estado buscando nuevas citas para otras opiniones de su caso y medicina alternativa ya que la convencional no RESULTO pero como ya sabemos es muy costosa y no contamos con los recursos para intentarlo ya que están pasando los $100,000 sin contar los gastos personales y los ocultos que puedan aparecer, es por esto que en un acto de AMOR desesperado estoy buscando la ayuda de todo el que pueda.

Solo deseo que ella siga VIVIENDO ya que ella es la luz de mis días, el pilar que sostiene esta familia, una super mama y abuela, trabajadora y emprendedora que siempre ha encontrado la manera de sacar el potencial de todo el que toca y que podamos regresar a un poco de felicidad haciendo ejercicios, que ella pueda volver a disfrutar de las cosas mas simples que le hacían FELIZ, seguir los planes para comprarle su casita y pueda cosechar sus plantas que le gusta tanto.

Soy un amante esposo desesperado y suplicando por ayuda para que siga viviendo y yo poderle cumplir todos sus deseos. Que DIOS los bendiga y estoy eternamente agradecido de todos los que nos ayudan.
