Linda Hernandez was the daughter of Margaret Soltero Lopez and Gilbert Vela Lopez, the sister to six siblings in order from oldest to youngest Alfred Lopez, Carmen Amaya, Gilbert Lopez, Ana Parra-Cardenas, Terri Cordova, and Joe Lopez. The wife of Laurencio Hernandez, the mother of five to Margaret Aguilar, Monique Viloria, Robert Viloria, Janet Viloria, and Michael Abeyta, the grandmother to 19 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 15 great-grandkids, a Tia to 13 nieces and nephews, family by marriage as an in-law to many, a friend, amiga, bestie and much, much more to many others. She was born in the upper east coast of the U.S. in Dover Foxcroft, Maine in 1957. The early years of her life and siblings was one of a military family that moved from Maine, until finally settling and calling Arizona home in 1963. Linda loved time with all her kids, her husband, immediate family, extended family, life-long friends from childhood and early adult years, co-workers and the many others that were brought into her life through marriage, the birth of children and even family and friends of her loved ones. She loved the Lord, the color Purple just as her mother did, angel figurines, and ornate collectible she could display in her home. She loved hard and was not afraid to tell it like it was whether you liked it or not (thank the Lopez bloodline for that). Linda befriended, influenced, and touched countless lives well beyond her own family. Life was not easy as a young mother, or in her later years with health issues, but through it all she was resilient, strong, and put a smile on every day to be there for and with her family and friends making her life rich in family, friends, love, happiness a richness that can’t be bought by any material or financial wealth. Her family and friends have countless stories they can share of her impacting their lives as family, through friendship, and how she made them all feel loved and special. She will live on through her family and friends that love her dearly. Linda has been called home by the Lord, to be with her mother, father, brother, sister, and family that have walked through God’s pearly gates and to their eternal home with the Lord. Linda will now watch over all her loved ones as a Guardian Angel and be just like one of her favorite things an Angel.
