Funeral & Remembrance of Andrew Degan

Andrew Jeffrey Degan, born November 19, 2002, tragically and unfairly lost his young life in a car accident on October 1, 2021.

Andrew left his Mom’s home like any regular morning at about 5:10 am to head to work. State troopers arrived to his Father’s home at 6:45 am to deliver the worst news any parent can receive. Andrew was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and is still under investigation. The crash happened on the eastbound side of the highway just before 6 a.m. Friday at mile marker 59.4 before Exit 59, which is the area between Route 130 and Quaker Meetinghouse Road, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

No words can ease the incredible pain and heartache his family has been dealt. Andrew was a hardworking and incredible son, brother, and friend. He grew up in Sandwich and was a recent graduate of Cape Cod Tech, class of 2021. His family is so proud of all his accomplishments and the man he was becoming. He was at the top of his class in the HVAC program and worked for Riedell out of Osterville & Nantucket since he was 16 years old. He had a full life ahead with so much promise and it was unfairly cut short. Please find it in your heart to help ease this family’s devastation. Any donation made in his memory will help his family as they were not planning expenses for the loss of their beloved child and brother.
