Funeral for Andy Deer

James Andrew (Andy) Deer age 67 of Fairhope, AL was called home on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 12:50pm. He was a successful business owner, member of the American Legion Post 199, and devoted friend of the Fairhope VFW 5660. Andy was a devoted husband, an incredible father, the best Papa to his grand-girls, and a loyal friend. He loved Alabama football, fishing, playing pool, and wood-working. He is proceeded in death by his parents, David and Lavonia Deer of Point Clear, AL. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Jamie Deer, three brothers: Kenneth McDowell (Lynn), William Deer, Sr. (Dede), Terry Deer (Carmen), one sister: Marie Sluder, two sons: James Deer, Jr.(Amy), Mikul Singleton (Mandy), one daughter: Jamye Thompson (Zach), seven grandchildren: Abbie, Katherine, Reagan, Lily, Andie, Aurora, Chloe, Wahala, and one great grandson: Mako as well as many other family members and countless friends.

 

A memorial service will be held as a celebration of life for family and friends of Andy at the VFW 5660 in Fairhope, 950 Nichols Ave, Fairhope, AL 36532 at 11am on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
